reader seem to forget detail about him in the beginning and only remember him being a badass MC while that isn’t right . YC was hoping that he can change his vengeful and murderous personalty to someone more gentle so as story progressed he slowly and unconsciously steamed down . if you remember Royal wood spirit boy part he wanted to kill him for his orb but found himself unable to and asked himself that when had he became so soft. so don’t say mars change MC out of nowhere because mars wanted change of his character to this way too much of a saint (which is annoying) and now he made things like this to make a final personalty for YC after the blackening arc
