Xiao Lingzi's identity

Anyone has any idea what the build up around Xiao Lingzi’s second personality might lead to? I suspect that even if the whole Blue Pole Star dies, she must still be alive.

Mars had previously mentioned that Xiao Lingzi’s stuff is set to be revealed in the 2nd last chapter of the novel.
