Why do you read so many books and listen so much, but you may not live a good life?

Reading is a shared experience, but many people do not know what it is to read or how it is the right way to read poetry, so that after reading so many books and listening to so many truths, they still have a mess. So I really wanted someone to discuss it with.

WOW…that is some heavy topic…i am personally a simple person and have no patience for long winded articulate writing. many cases simple thing like “sitting on table and eating” tends to be written in so many unnecessary words that someone would think the author is talking about the end of all life. so most poetry and stories just go over my head. and i am always deeply unsatisfied with 95% stuff i read.

Reading a particular something will be a contradictory to another book you read in the past or will be so we get confused and contemplate them to think about which is right , its the way of not harming anyothers with your o]n ideology and wiahes and not disowning your own cores is the right way to follow those we read. So we can clear the mazes in our mind to open a way where we can balance chaos and peace.

It’s because you want to live a good life you read books. In our everyday life we accumulate stress. And a entertaining book can reduce your stress. Even when you rebuke or badmouth someone it will make you feel good. We are all strangers here so we all think for ourselves only.

that’s not how it works, yes I read a lot of books, like I have a library full of things from different cultures, scientific books and others but they only add up to my knowledge, then to be forgotten forever and what is left is only the decisions I make after reading whatever book.
for example I read " apples are good for health" then research apples intensely , after that I would decide “oh I will be eating more apples from now on” and whatever I read in my research would just be dumped .

what I am trying to say that what I read doesn’t have impact on my life unless I decide it’s good for me , I mean how weak is the mentality of the person who changes his mind every time he reads other’s thoughts ?
