Author devotes way too much chapter space to the small villain lin rong. The novel has devolved into being 50% from the pov of the mc and 50% from the pov of the villain.
The schemes are boring. Mainly because it’s the exact same villains doing the scheming. Mc is too cowardly to remove any villains that have any background …so those same ordinary villains pop up every few chapters, plotting ways to kill the mc and his people.
This Novel was good until the mc went to the Capitol. That’s where we see just how cowardly and indecisive the mc is.
