These novels are machine translated. Sometimes proofreaders check for obvious mistakes and try to make the sentences acceptable, this takes a lot of time. I proofread while I read a novel that I like so that other readers get enjoyment, I also don’t like seeing mistakes. Some of the words sometimes don’t make sense as machines are not people. I don’t read Chinese, but I understand a lot of the sentiment and culture as I read a lot of Chinese novels, so it’s hard at times to proofread. If I can make people reading experience better and makes it worthwhile, I totally understand how frustrating it is when the gender keeps changing or there are words that don’t make sense, but I still think this site brings great novels to us that would not have been translated by a person.
