Just started reading this, about 90 chapters in. I have a question? Does Long Chen get better as a character?

Right now almost every fight he’s in, he just barely wins, it’s OK to have your MC struggle every once in a while, but it seems like every time he fights he barley wins. And in these series I want to see the MC be a bad ass monster, not a person who can barely survive. And while he’s smart a Pill making, he’s incredibly stupid in other aspects. He’s almost always getting played, he’s plans always initially fail. You’d think him remembering another life he’d be more adept in dealing with people and understanding when he’s being coned?

So does he always struggle like how he is now with fighting? Or does that get better?

No, he will even lost at some point or being saved by someone, the more you read the fight will getting more escalated. But sometimes he got an easy win too

Thanks, now I know to not waste anymore of my time on this. Just not interesting in reading a series like this where the MC constantly just barely gets by.

Honestly thats what killed me about the series the most, right now im caught up with all 3k chaps. The story is one of the top wuxia imo though, its just annoying that the MC in this just breathes and enemies come out of the woodworks screaming “You dare?!?!”
