First half is a lighthearted, fast paced modern era story. It was excellent. The last half was just slow, boring, drawn out…cultivation world bullcrap.
It wouldn’t be bad if the author was decent at writing cultivation novels, but he isn’t. There was a 300 chapter window where the mc increased his cultivation 5 times, and time he increased his cultivation…it was to the exact same middle stage demon emperor realm. It wss just dumb. Author really should have stuck with what he excelled at… which is writing modern/urban plots.
