Due to the complexity of the work, I think that the vision “hero” or “villain” does not fit perfectly. From the beginning we follow the evolution of the YC, apparently he is the hero, however, he has already killed many innocent people, so from the general point of view, YC is the villain. Mars said that the final villain of the play has already been introduced from the beginning, so everything leads to believe that YC is the villain. Probably he will want to destroy the whole kingdom of God because of revenge, which, though fair, does not have to involve innocent people. XQ is a stepping stone to YC, in the same way that SM tb will be. YC is able to turn against everyone just to save jasmine, then, as he will become the final boss I do not know, but I hope mars makes a good motive, not this revenge business that is already beaten too much.

Its already introduce from the beginning. From Story to legends about gods and its beginning. We already know whats on the other side of Primal Chaos “The banished Devil God”. It is also related why the crack is introduced. Its already a boring and old plot when Hero become the Villain. What happened between the Gods war before doesn’t concern of what Yun Che business in the present, its his choice. Remember his Goal… to become Strong so that he can protect his Family. If he become Villain…what will happened to his Family specially Daughter? Do you think Mars will let it happen? If it does then Mars will become a Villain in the eyes of the reader.

Well Jasmine might become the antagonist. After all she is the evil infant 
. Well I am all up for an sexy villain for Yun che to win over.

I mean whenever YC becomes a True God no one in the God Realm will be able to fuck with him, and I think the Evil Infant is a big boss but not the final one, imo the final BB is either the Evil God or another one of the Creation God’s like Mo E.
I don’t our Protagonist will end up being someone we’re rooting against, but he will of course take over the God Realm like he did with the Blue Polestar.
But the bigger concern is will there be entire other world behind the Wall? Where Ture God’s are the norm? Seems to be what mostly happens in these kinds of stories.

In wuxia there is no major tragedy! Xia qingyue and jasmine both are main heroines and since author made sure of this being a harem they will both end up under him. Now, jasmine knows yun che is alive a hint was there. And xia qingyue’s destiny is probably helping him in his last boss fight. Dual cultivation i presume. So, remember that these wuxia novels so happy endings are must

I have to agree with you. The way Yun Che and Evil God were portrayed throughout the story (Yun Ches ruthless nature, Evil Gods darkness power, slaughtering the Burning Heaven clan, Heavenly Prophecy…) leads to Yun Ches eventual corruption even though there propably wont be complete polarisation of his character. The only thing I dont get is where does the destiny that Qingyue speaks of plays the part. The way I understood that part is as though YC and XQ are destined to be enemies. But if that is the truth dont you think that XQ would try to stop him before he gets corrupted.

XQ is strong, she has some god powers, however, she is not the first in history and will not be the last, and none of her previous ones, including her mother, has become a true god. Since YC is different, it has the potential to be the true god, according to the prophecies. Soon, following this logic, XQ is not on the same level as YC to become his mortal enemy. Probably both XQ and SM, which has rare elements of power, will help YC become the true god so he can face the real enemy. Although everyone knows the work as Against the god, this is not the real name, YC will not destroy the gods, but the emergence of the evil god is something that was in the prophecy and that will happen. Some time ago a citizen said that all will stand against YC because he will use the power of the devil to fix the crack, just as he did there in the gorge of his planet. I found this theory more valid than YC to lose his relatives and he gets angry and seek revenge. But mars does not follow a logic of the other novels, so I do not know how it will happen, I just know that XQ has become a boring and superb character and YC a coward even knowing of all the potential he has.
