I like how it shows that the maids can’t be trusted. Maids depend on their master’s ranking so they can get greedy if they don’t think they will have a good life. FL’s maids seem to focus on getting the position to be her closest maids and get jealous if someone else gets the position they want.

Yes! Those maids are totally at the mercy of their masters.
